 note = {Twelve Japanese families, their twenty children, and related educational organizations were interviewed to examine Japanese children's adaptation process to American society. They live in Chicago, the United States and can selectan educational system for their children out of several options. The interviews were analyzed mainly by the developmental stage from the view points of a system-oriented approach and "anchor points method". Important and useful anchor points for facilitating the adaptation were indicated and disscussed.},
