| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to examine fundamental principles in the development of a high school girls' handball team. The subject was a team consisting of eight members, which won the third place at the interscholastic athletic meet in the third years after its establishment. The study was conducted to understand the annual changes of offensive and defensive abilities, physique and motor ability, the degree of satisfaction of their result and self-evaluation in their athletic ability. \n1. As for a high School girls’ handball team, the number of scores, the success rate of attacks, the number of shots, and the success rate of shots were significantly increased both in the prefectural tournament and the national tournament, while the number of miss and free throw showed a tendency to decrease. This showed that offensive and defensive abilities of OH High School improved along with the annual changes both in the national and the prefectural tournament. 2. The mean values of the subject’s body weight, chest circumferences and thigh circumference greatly increased in their second year of high school. In their athletic abilities, the results of 30 meter running with direction changing, jumping side to side, standing long jump, throwing a handball, sit-up, back strength, and long seat body anteflexion significantly improved. This seems to be the result of regular training throughout the year. 3. The coaching plan was carried out based on PDCA cycle. The coaching plan was clearly outlined in the very first year of its establishment (P), which included court training six days a week and strength and conditioning training once a week throughout the year (D). The performance of the team was evaluated at the completion of each tournament and the coaching plan was refined accordingly(C). From their first year of high school to June in their second year, their practice was mainly focused on winning the prefectural tournament. After June in their second year when they gualified for the interscholastic athletic meet, they trained to achieve a higher ranking in the tuika national tournament. To further develop the team, they regularly participated in practice games and away games with higher-ranked teams and college teams. They also took part in training camps and competitions with those teams ranked higher (A). 4. The players were not satisfied with their team’s results in junior high school which motivated them to continue playing handball in high school and set a higher goal to win the prefectural tournament and the national tournament. Moreover, as a result of the team being defeated in the second round of the national high school invitational tournament in March in their second year seemed to give them strong motivation to win the third place in the interscholastic athletic meet. 5. In their self-evaluation, the development of offensive abilities improved to some extent while defensive abilities moderately improved. They set a slightly higher valuation on the development of their physical strength and moderate valuation on the development of their decision making and concentration. |
