Part IV, Education and psychology}, month = {Mar}, note = {In order to examine the relationship between the educational environment in early childhood and later life style, we obtained data from 488 mothers of first-grade elementary school children on the policies of the institutions their children attended before school and on the current life style of their children. The results showed that children who attended institutions with warm institutional policies that respected children’s autonomy tended to have better academic and interpersonal adjustment in the first year of elementary school. On the other hand, emphasis on discipline and learning in pre-school facilities did not have a clear relationship with life after school.
