年に国際放射線防護委員会(International Commission on Radiological Protection:以下,ICRP)が「18 才までの生徒に対しての学校における放射線防護」を発表し,放射線から生徒を防護する勧告1)が初めて示された。冷陰極管のX線の漏洩現象に関して,国内では約40 年以上前から報告2)されており,その後も幾度となく冷陰極管の漏洩X 線は取り上げられてきた。3)2012 年に中学校理科で「放射線教育」が約35 年振りに復活し,折しも東日本大震災での原子力発電所事故(2011 年)と重なったため,教育現場の放射線教育への認識が改められた。4)このような状況で,本研究室では3 年程前から,県教育センター主催の教員研修(中学校理科教師対象)で放射線に関わる課題を取り扱い,また,冷陰極管のX 線の漏洩現象を示して注意喚起をおこなうなど,冷陰極管からの漏洩X 線の検証と啓発を研究室活動の一環として取り組んできた。本報告では,これまでに公表されてきた冷陰極管からの漏洩X 線に関する内容を踏まえて現象を再検証し,研究室で得たデータを基に,対称性の良いクルックス管の漏洩X 線の強度分布を定量的に明らかにした。また,教育現場で漏洩X 線を生じる冷陰極管をどのように取り扱うべきかを考慮して,ICRP勧告および国内法規との対応について,漏洩X 線防護について,漏洩X
