| 内容記述 | The present study was designed to investigate the cerebral hemispheric differences with regard to the way visual information is processed in the perceptual and memory process. Non verbal stimuli were tachistoscopically presented to right-handed males and females in the left and right visual field; after a delay of 0 or10 sec, the subject was required to select the shape that was presented to him/her from a visual display of shapes. Nonverbal stimuli were 9 groups of random shapes in a 3×3 design in which the dimensions of verbal association value and complexity were independently varied to assess the influences. The results showed that complexity, association value, and delay factors produced a significant main effect but no differential field effect. Results were interpreted as supporting the view that the right hemisphere cannot so readily process a verbal information as it can a visual information, while the left hemisphere can process both. | |||||
