| 内容記述 | Current rapid demographic changes resulted in new problems in early childhood care and education. As a result of the decline in the fertility rate, which is seen as a national crisis, many measures have affected early childhood education and care. In order to prepare for the impending reform in early childhood care and education in Japan, it is very important to develop tools to investigate and evaluate provided services in early childhood care and education, objectively. This is the experimental research analyzes how the early childhood care and education services provided in Kasuya-Gun in Fukuoka prefecture. Using spatial information system, we input information in the area such as; the location of the institutions, the distribution maps of the birth to 5-year olds population, and contents of services. From our research it is suggested that private institutions are needed to improve disclosure of information about their facilities and services. Our date shows that there are differences of convenience and capacity, between contents of services provided. It is also suggested to provide temporary services and services for convalescent children. Though the area is a commuter belt of Fukuoka-city, there are only 3 institutions that provide 2 hours extended hour services. From our date, it is made clear that by integrating Hoikusho and Yochien, it would be possible to provide more early childhood care and education services in convenience. |
