| 内容記述 | The goal of this study is to qualitatively improve the living environments in clubs for afterschool activities for children. In this study, a time series analysis was conducted of the floor plan of 12 club houses for children’s afterschool activities in KA City, Fukuoka Prefecture that were constructed between 1992 and 2006, to clarify the requirements for kitchen spaces from changes to the floor layout (improvement points). Depending on the year of construction, the surveyed club houses changed in terms of the scale of the kitchen spaces and methods for connecting them to the spaces for children (the layout of the kitchen sinks, the counters and the serving tables). This analysis clarified that when planning the kitchen spaces in children's afterschool club houses, it is necessary to consider the flow of movement of the instructors and children at snack time; that serving tables play an important role; and that it is also necessary to have a space configuration that connects the instructors in the kitchen to the children in other spaces. |
