| 内容記述 | In this study, we investigated the recent changes and the current circumstances related to the maintenance and management of traditional wooden houses in historical townscapes, focusing on Y district in Fukuoka Prefecture. Recently, the roofs, exterior walls, dirt floors and fittings have been repaired using conservative restoration. The kitchens and bathrooms have all been outfitted with new equipment and fixtures, and there have also been cases where modern residences were added as an expansion on the back side of these traditional buildings. Additionally, some of the traditional methods of maintenance and lifestyle have been replaced with newer ones, while others have been abandoned. This was due to the increased burden associated with lifestyle changes, and the death of the mother or grandmother. Therefore, there is a need for additional activities to support the maintenance of residents, and to preserve and impart traditional maintenance concepts as part of the housing life culture. | |||||
